NASHUA — What may have begun as a customer dispute turned violent shortly before noon today, leaving one man reportedly deceased outside the Sunoco station, 543 Amherst St. and another man, believed to be the suspect, the subject of a manhunt.

A brief statement from the Attorney General’s office said only that representatives of the office and Nashua police responded to “the scene of a suspicious death of an adult male at a business in Nashua.”

While the investigation is in its early stages, witnesses told sources that they believe an argument broke out between two men near the entrance to the gas station’s convenience store, and it appeared that one of them may have thrown a soft drink can or cup at the other.

It wasn’t immediately known whether any witnesses heard one or more gunshots, or if anyone saw a man flee the scene.
