Ryan J. Luther, 29, no fixed address, Manchester; former Hudson resident

CONCORD — Ryan J. Luther, last known address of 493 Spruce St. in Manchester, and who was living in Hudson when he was arrested by Nashua police in 2015, has “been in contact with U.S. Probation” officials and has made arrangements to appear in federal court this week, according to the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

Luther, now 29 and last known to be transient in the Manchester area, is accused of violating the conditions of his supervised release, officials said.

He was put on supervised release following his 2020 conviction and sentencing on charges relating to the sale of fentanyl, officials said.

If Luther shows up to court to answer to the charges, the two warrants that had been issued for his arrest will be recalled.

Officials didn’t specify the date of the scheduled court appearance.

According to authorities, Luther contacted probation officials a day after the U.S. Marshal’s Service’s N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force named him the agency’s Fugitive of the Week, a program in which “wanted” information regarding a fugitive is distributed to a wide variety of media outlets and all New Hampshire law enforcement agencies, and is posted on social media.

According to federal authorities, agents of the U.S. Marshals’ N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force, which was formed in 2002, have made more than 8,500 arrests as of the end of 2021. The charges have “ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, and unregistered sex offenders to probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses,” officials said.

Agents work with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, partnering with members of 85 local and 8 regional task forces, they said.
