Police surround federal building in Manchester

MANCHESTER – Manchester Police responded to the Norris Cotton Federal Building at 275 Chestnut St. to check the security of the building Friday.
Manchester officers arrived at about 6:15 p.m. and began closing down several streets surrounding the complex.
According to sources, authorities were notified of a potential bomb threat. Several officers surrounded the building while waiting on an officer from Federal Protective Services.
At about 7:15 p.m., an officer in a Federal Protective Services arrived and walked to the back of the building with Manchester Police officers. Two Manchester Police K9 units were on the scene for a time.
