Local Fourth of July events on tap for today

NASHUA – Most all communities in Greater Nashua are hosting Fourth of July fireworks displays, and many have also scheduled other events and celebrations.

Following is a compilation of events scheduled across the region.

NASHUA

All activities are on Monday

at Holman Stadium

• Futures League baseball – Silver Knights host Worcester Bravehearts, 11 a.m., Holman Stadium. Kids 12 and under free; first 500 adults free; expanded kids’ zone; on-field activities. Tickets: tinyurl.com/Knights22.

• Free rock concert featuring The Slakas, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

• Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps, 7:30 p.m.

• Nashua Hall of Fame inductions, 8 p.m.

• Spartans encore, 8:30 p.m.

• Fireworks begin at dusk

AMHERST

All events listed are on Monday

• Americana parade: antique cars, floats, bands, clowns, children’s bicycle parade, step off 10 a.m. in the village

• Following the parade: Reviewing stand ceremonies, introduction of dignitaries, reading of Declaration of Independence, old-fashion craft demos; food ventors; Citizen of the Year award.

• Animals on the Green; Pocket Lady, clowns, baseball, games, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

• Fireworks: At dusk, Souhegan High School football field

MERRIMACK

• Fourth of July parade, 11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Monday. Steps off, Commons Shopping Center, 515 Daniel Webster Highway.

• Fireworks: 9 p.m., Merrimack High School.
