Graduating seniors from Bishop Guertin and Nashua South were were honored by the Nashua Lions Club at its annual scholarship night last week. A total of $6,000 was presented by the club to local students, who were joined by their parents. Club President Paul Bergeron, left, joined with members of the scholarship committee to make the presentations to Britney Sayegh from Bishop Guertin, who received the John R. Deschenes Memorial Scholarship. That honor is given in memory of the long-time Lion, who passed away two years ago. The other recipient from Bishop Guertin was Nicholas Dahl, who was presented with the coveted ‘All Guertin Award’ at the school’s graduation ceremony. The third scholarship went to Elizabeth Brunelle, from Nashua South. Also taking part in the program were Lions Elaine Lecius and Louise Deschenes.
