N.H. Military Coaching Alliance presents NH Gold Star Mother honorary plaque; Ayotte is keynote speaker
PORTSMOUTH – The New Hampshire Military Coaching Alliance presented a plaque to New Hampshire Gold Star Mother Karen Kelsey during an event on Thursday. The plaque honors Kelsey’s son, Army Cpl. Andrew A. Aimesbury, and all of the fighting men and women of New Hampshire who died in service. Aimesbury, of Dover, died during a military training accident at Fort Stewart, Georgia, in 2015. “May we never forget that our freedom isn’t free,” the plaque reads.
During the event, which was sponsored by Portsmouth-based federal insurance and benefits administrator FedPoint, former U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte gave keynote remarks. Later, the Alliance gifted Ayotte a wooden flag handmade by a veteran through Flags of Valor, a veteran-owned and operated business that raises money for veteran and first responder charities.
