Cheers & Beers to 40 Years: Milano’s House of Pizza & Seafood hosting day-long 40th anniversary celebration Saturday
NASHUA — Forty years have passed since the day Greek immigrant Frank Liakakos and his then-business partner, also a Greek immigrant, fired up their newly acquired pizza ovens, filled the fryers with cooking oil, checked the clock on the wall and walked over and unlocked the front door, hoping that it would soon be pushed open by hungry folks looking to try out a new place for lunch.
It wasn’t long before the scenario the young businessmen hoped for was shaping up quite nicely before them, a trend-in-the-making that convinced the young men that the success they’d hoped and prayed for was beginning to come their way.
Liakakos, who now runs the shop with his wife, Jen, his son, George and a small handful of employees, isn’t letting the milestone anniversary slip by without a celebration.
“Cheers & Beers to 40 Years” is the slogan they came up with for the “all-day event” that will feature live music by popular local band Project Mess, along with giveaways, prizes, promos and, perhaps the best attraction of all — spend $40, then get 40 percent off all purchases from then on.
