CONCORD — A registered Republican voter from the town of Alton has pleaded guilty to casting two ballots — one in Alton and one in Leominster, Massachusetts — in the Nov. 6, 2016 general election, according to Attorney General John Formella.
Todd Krysiak, 39, last known address on Gardner Park Drive, was charged in June 2019 with one count of “voting in more than one state prohibited,” a Class B felony, according to Formella.
In exchange for entering the guilty plea at a hearing Friday in Belknap County Superior Court, Krysiak agreed to a 90-day jail sentence, all suspended for two years on condition he remain on good behavior. He also agreed to pay a fine of roughly $5,000.
Entering the guilty plea to violating state election law also carries another consequence: Krysiak’s right to vote in New Hampshire is terminated.
Formella said the case was prosecuted by Deputy General Counsel Myles Matteson, Attorney Matthew Conley, and Chief Investigator Richard Tracy of the state’s Election Law Unit.
