By Staff | Mar 26, 2022

Bicentennial fifth grader Jaycen Mills.

With many socks in the box, the Bicentennial Elementary School Sock Drive wrapped up this week with more than 300 pairs of socks delivered to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.

Jaycen Mills, fifth grader at Bicentennial Elementary in Mr. James O’Connor’s class led the sock drive.

Jaycen is also a member of the 2022 New Hampshire Kid Governor Executive Council.

Jaycen set up the collection of socks during the three weeks between Feb. 21 and March 11, encouraging classmates, their families, and Bicentennial teachers and staff to

donate.

Charlotte Cotti, a fifth grader at Pollard Elementary School, Plaistow, is the current NH Kid Governor. She and the NH Kid Governor Executive Council’s platform centers around helping the homeless, learning about their experiences with homelessness, and encouraging others to lend a hand.

Congratulations to Jaycen for carrying out the Council’s mission with a successful sock drive at Bicentennial Elementary School.
