No injuries in Nashua fire
At approximately 9:54 a.m. Friday, the Nashua Fire Rescue dispatch center received a call from a neighbor of 116 Pine St. reporting there was a fire in the building. A first alarm assignment of three engines,
one ladder truck and the deputy chief were dispatched to the listed location.
Lt. Sage Quimby of Engine 2, from the Lake Street Fire Station, arrived on scene first and reported that they had smoke showing from a 1.5 story wood frame dwelling.
Engine 2 and Ladder 2 firefighters quickly stretched a hoseline to the left side of the building and found the fire in an enclosed porch and adjacent laundry room. The fire was quickly brought under control.
Firefighters from East Hollis Street Fire Station arrived soon after and assisted with ventilation and a search of the building. The search of the building showed that all occupants had been evacuated.
Nashua Fire Rescue Fire Marshals were summoned to the scene. The fire is still under investigation.
Apartment #1 of the two-apartment dwelling sustained fire damage, but all occupants were able return to their apartments.
