Suspect allegedly inflicts serious head injury upon another man, then tries to hide the weapon from police
Floyd Bristol, 35, of no fixed address, Nashua
NASHUA — Police say a local man was hospitalized late Saturday night with a serious injury to his head, the result of an assault involving a weapon police described only as a “blunt object.”
Charged with felony offenses following his arrest less than two hours later was Floyd Bristol, 35, a Nashua resident with no fixed address, according to police.
Following the alleged assault, Bristol, a convicted felon, allegedly hid the weapon “in an attempt to prevent its discovery” by detectives investigating the incident, police said.
Bristol, police added, knows the alleged victim, but they didn’t specify how they know each other, nor did they elaborate on the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
The alleged victim’s current medical status is unknown.
Bristol, meanwhile, is charged with one count of first-degree assault — serious bodily injury, a Class A felony; and one count each of falsifying physical evidence and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, Class B felonies.
He was booked on the charges, then refused bail and was held pending Monday’s scheduled arraignment. His next court date is for a dispositional conference currently scheduled for May 5 in Superior Court.
Police ask anyone with any additional information on the incident to call the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
