By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Reporter | Feb 28, 2022

(Telegraph file photo) A species of orchid native to the Andes Mountains and Ecuador is among the dozens of species that longtime orchid enthusiast Dr. Charles Wingate tends in his Hollis greenhouses. Wingate has shown some of his orchids at the NH Orchid Society show and sale for a number of years.

NASHUA — Orchid enthusiasts mark your calendars: The New Hampshire Orchid Society’s annual show and sale — just like spring — is just around the corner.

Scheduled for Friday, March 25, through Sunday, March 27, this year’s show, titled “A Bounty of Orchids,” is the society’s 29th, according to society spokeswoman Anita Walker.

The show and sale, known as “one of New Hampshire’s most popular winter attractions,” will take place at the Courtyard Marriotte, 2200 Southwood Drive, which is off the Somerset Parkway at Everett Turnpike Exit 8.

A full story on the event, along with photos, will appear in the March 6 edition of The Sunday Telegraph.
