Greater Nashua Mental Health receives new grant

By Staff | Feb 12, 2022

NASHUA – Greater Nashua Mental Health is pleased and grateful to share that we recently received a $60,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The grant will help further GNMH’s mission of “empowering people to live full and satisfying lives through effective treatment and support” by expanding our capacity to provide a wide array of wrap around services and supports to individuals across the lifespan. GNMH’s results-based mental health services are available for individuals of all ages, substance use disorder (SUD) services to persons ages 12 and older, and primary health care services to all clients aged 16 and up.

New clients can walk into our 440 Amherst Street facility in Nashua on Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and be seen the same day, thus eliminating having to wait for an appointment after making the critical decision to seek help. Our Drug Court and Mental Health Court programs are providing treatment instead of incarceration, which are changing lives and significantly reducing recidivism rates. Our unique Deaf Services team provides mental health and SUD services to residents throughout the state of New Hampshire. Additionally, our Mobile Crisis Response Team/Rapid Response Access Point services are available 24/7/365, so no one ever has to feel alone when experiencing a mental health and/or substance use disorder crisis.

We sincerely appreciate the generous and continued support from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and look forward to sharing news about how it has assisted us in providing critically needed community mental health, substance misuse and primary healthcare services to anyone in need.
