CONCORD -The New Hampshire Democratic Party announced today that Minnesota’s U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will join Granite State Democrats on the Seacoast for a diamond celebration of one of New Hampshire’s most beloved and illustrious political leaders, Senator Martha Fuller Clark. The Martha Fuller Clark Diamond Birthday Celebration will take place on Saturday, March 5 in Portsmouth, Senator Clark’s hometown.

“The path to holding and expanding the Democratic majority in Congress runs through New Hampshire. I am thrilled to be back in the Granite State — in Jeanne Shaheen country — to help support great candidates up and down the ballot, including my good friend and colleague in the Senate, Senator Maggie Hassan, as well as Congresswoman Annie Kuster and Congressman Chris Pappas,” said U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. “I’m also looking forward to seeing some old friends and joining so many others in celebrating the hard work and leadership of Senator Martha Fuller Clark.”

Senator Martha Fuller Clark serves as the Vice-Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party and as a member of Democratic National Committee. In her seven terms as State Senator, her time as Senate President Pro Tempore, and six terms as a State Representative representing Portsmouth, and through her two-time candidacy as Congressional nominee, she advocated for issues like affordable health care, quality education, civil rights, women’s rights, and protecting our environment.

Senator Clark was a co-chair of the New Hampshire Committee to elect Barack Obama President of the United States in 2008 and in 2012, and was a superdelegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention. She was a fierce advocate for President Barack Obama and President Biden, and fought tooth and nail for their respective presidential campaigns.

Proof of vaccination and temperature checks will be required for all attendees.
