BOSTON — Hudson resident Kirstyn Niemela and a woman from Dracut, Massachusetts, were taken into custody by an FBI task force late yesterday afternoon following an investigation into their alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

FBI Boston Division spokeswoman Kristen M. Setera said in a statement that Niemela, 33, and Dracut resident Stefanie Nicole Chiguer, 36, were apprehended “without incident” on warrants issued for their arrests.

The women are charged with the same set of four offenses:

* Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds

* Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds

* Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building

* Parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.

Setera’s statement didn’t specify where the women were taken into custody, but both were arrested by officers assigned to the FBI Boston Division’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Their arrests bring to 13 the number of suspects charged by the FBI Boston Division in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, Setera said.
