Nashua man arrested on felony assault; accused of smashing another man’s face at downtown club
NASHUA — The investigation by detectives into the Oct. 29 assault that left an unidentified man with “several factures to his facial area” has culminated in the arrest of a 34-year-old Eaton Street resident, police said.
Joseph Connors, of 5 Eaton St., was taken into custody this week on a warrant police issued after identifying Connors as the alleged assailant.
The arrest stems from the Oct. 29 incident, which police said occurred at the Polish American Club on School Street.
Officers called to the club found the alleged victim with multiple facial injuries, and medical personnel were summoned to transport him to a local hospital.
Connors faces one count of second-degree assault, a Class B felony. He was booked on the charge then later released on bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 23 in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
Police ask anyone who may have additional information about the incident to call the department’s anonymous Crime Line at 589-1665.
