$30,028 raised by Lucky Moose and River Casinos for NHCouncil on Problem Gambling
NASHUA – The Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern General Manager JimRafferty presented a $30,020.28 check to Ed Talbot & Dot Duda of the NewHampshire Council on Problem Gambling on Sept. 28 in an effort to helpcombat problem gambling issues. The check was the total of gaming proceeds fromgaming dates at the River Casino & Sports Bar in 2019 & the Lucky Moose Casino &Tavern in 2021.
“Experiencing the excitement of charitable gaming should be fun to most, but it is anactivity that has to be done responsibly,” Rafferty said. “The New Hampshire Councilon Problem Gambling is an excellent resource for those who feel they need help andmight have a gambling problem. For many years the Council has provided thousandsof New Hampshire residents information and education on responsible gaming as wellas providing treatment to those who need help. As an operator of two charitablecasinos I find it my personal responsibility to help those who are in need of it.”
The New Hampshire Council on Problem Gambling is a private nonprofit agencycreated to address the social, financial and emotional costs of problem gambling. TheCouncil provides information, education, advocacy and prevention services as well asreferrals to treatment for problem gambling to those affected, their loved ones andthe community.
The Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern and the River Casino & Sports Bar are openunder licenses granted and governed by the New Hampshire Lottery Commission.
