Man, woman sought in connection with disappearance of Merrimack boy arrested in New York
MERRIMACK — New York City Transit Authority police have arrested Danielle Denise Dauphinais and Joseph Stapf, the one-time Merrimack residents local and state police have been searching for in connection with the case of Elijah “Eli” Lewis, the 5-year-old boy who hasn’t been seen in six months.
Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati said this morning that Dauphinais, 35, who is believed to be the child’s mother, and Stapf, her 30-year-old companion, were taken into custody by Transit officers who located the pair in The Bronx.
