Elizabeth Lu, 17 Roby St., Nashua; Ward 6 alderwoman

NASHUA — Elizabeth Lu, elected Ward 6 alderwoman in 2019, announced Tuesday evening that she is withdrawing from what was a three-way race for the seat in the Nov. 2 municipal election.

Lu, who made the announcement in a Facebook post, is throwing her support behind candidate Alex Comeau, a political newcomer who is running against Jordan M. Thompson, a racial justice organizer who ran unsuccessfully for state representative in the last election.

An attempt to contact Lu for further comment is pending.
