CONCORD – The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting Saturday’s (9/25) Powerball jackpot will reach $523 million and the one-time cash payout to increase to $379 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld). If won, the $523 million jackpot would be the tenth-largest Powerball jackpot on record.

A $150,000 winning Powerball ticket from Wednesday night’s drawing was sold at Shaw’s Market at the Globe Plaza in Nashua. The player won $50,000 and added the Power Play option for an additional $1 more per set of numbers per drawing. With a Power Play number of 3, their initial $50,000 prize tripled, resulting in $150,000 in winnings.

Powerball drawing results from Wednesday, September 22, were: 20-40-47-55-63 PB-5 with a Power Play of 3.

The Powerball jackpot is the highest it has been since January when the jackpot run concluded with a $731.1 million win in Maryland. Powerball has gone 36 straight drawings without a jackpot winner.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on June 5, when a winning $285.6 million ticket was sold in Florida.
