MANCHESTER — Police said Wednesday that officers called to a report of a car crash on Second Street Tuesday evening found a heavily damaged vehicle up against a fence, a utility pole snapped in half, and three crying children.
Upon investigating the crash, the officers took into custody the driver, identified as Lizania Joseph, 24, and charged her with aggravated driving under the influence and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
The three children, whose ages weren’t given, were among “multiple people” found outside the vehicle by arriving officers, police said.
In addition to Joseph and the three children, a man, who police didn’t identify, was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
All were taken to Elliot Hospital for evaluation, but none of the occupants suffered any serious injuries, police said.

Joseph was later booked on the charges, then released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for Oct. 13 in a Manchester court.
