NASHUA — Pro Nails & Spa, the longtime Nashua business that operated for years on Daniel Webster Highway, celebrated its grand reopening Wednesday at its new location at 8 Spit Brook Road, just down the street from its former home.
“We got so much help from everyone … the community has been very helpful to us,” Paul Le, who owns the business with his wife, Kathy Le, said at Wednesday’s celebration.
A native of Vietnam, Paul Le came to America with his family in 1992, and in 1996 opened Pro Nails & Spa at its original location at 278 Daniel Webster Highway.
But within the past year, after nearly 25 years in business, Le and his wife suddenly found themselves facing a pair of challenges: the COVID-19 pandemic, and news that their building
was being sold and torn down.

They found temporary quarters when a space opened up in another plaza off Daniel Webster Highway, then succeeded in acquiring the larger space formerly occupied by the men’s clothing store Jos. A. Bank.
Le said Wednesday that he’s been able to hire six additional employees, bringing to 18 the number of staff members.
Among the attendees Wednesday were several regular customers, among them Carol Baldwin, executive director of Nashua’s Adult Learning Center, and Brookline resident Rebecca Leedberg.
“I’ve been a customer for years, we’ve become close friends,” Leedberg said after the ceremonial ribbon had been cut.
