NASHUA – Members of the police department’s Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit on Wednesday picked up six Nashua residents on a variety of charges accusing them of involvement in drug activity and an organized theft operation, police said.

The suspects, four men and two women ranging in age from 25 to 51, were among the targets of a “months long investigation” conducted by Nashua and Hudson police, along with representatives of local big box stores The Home Depot, Lowe’s and Harbor Freight.

Police said officers, on Wednesday, executed a search warrant at 5 Long Ave., the residence of one of the suspects, 51-year-old Sylvain Gilbert.

The six suspects, police said, were arrested based on “theft and/or narcotics-related offenses that were discovered as a direct result of the efforts of our corporate partners,” they said, referring to personnel from the three big box stores.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and they anticipate additional arrests in the case.

Those arrested and their charges follow.

* Sylvain Gilbert, 51, of 5 Long Ave. One count each, receiving stolen property, Class A felony, and organized retail crime enterprise, Class B felony.

* David Lamoureux, 32, of 6 Mountain View St. Four counts, theft by unauthorized taking, and one count, organized retail crime enterprise, Class B felonies; one count, possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, subsequent offense, special felony; one count, possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, Class A felony; and one count, possession of less than five grams of hashish, violation.

* Nicholas Cummings, 29, of 22 Ponderosa Ave. One count each, theft by unauthorized taking, and possession of a controlled drug, Class B felonies.

Ashley Reeves, 29, of 6 Mountain View St., Nashua

* Stacey Slaoui, 45, of Ponderosa Avenue. One count each, possession of a controlled drug, Class B felony, and theft, Class A misdemeanor.

* Ashley Reeves, 29, of 6 Mountain View St. One count, theft, Class A misdemeanor.

* Daronte Branch, 25, of 6 Chase St. One count, possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, Class A felony.

Police said all six were booked and released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment on dates yet to be scheduled. Reeves will be arraigned in Nashua district court, while the others will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
