St. Joseph Hospital and New England Neurological Associates (NENA) have entered into a clinical partnership to provide neurosurgical care and comprehensive spine treatment for patients in the Greater Nashua and surrounding communities. With offices located on the main hospital campus as well as throughout Massachusetts, NENA’s highly trained neurosurgeons proudly bring 50 years of experience as one of the area’s largest multispecialty neuroscience group practices.

John A. Jurczyk, President of St. Joseph Hospital notes, “This new relationship will allow our patients to access the highest standard of care in neurosurgery. The clinical expertise of a group such as NENA allows St. Joseph Hospital to keep care local in the communities it serves. Adding such a distinguished group of physicians to our team will yield significant benefits both in terms of elective as well as trauma care.”

Injuries to the brain and spinal cord put patients at a much higher risk of death or permanent physical impairment. By having renowned neurosurgeons on call 24/7 such as Dr. Bruce Cook, whose patients include Michael J. Fox, alongside Dr. Robert Miller, Dr. Anna Terry and Dr. Henry Ty, St. Joseph Hospital can help ensure that its patients receive the necessary level of care right here in Nashua.

“We are very proud of this partnership,” stated NENA CEO, Robert Wasserman. “Our primary focus has always been our patients’ comfort, convenience, and improvement of their quality of life, and we look forward to continuing that mission here at St. Joseph Hospital.”
