NASHUA – After a man reported being threatened by a knife-wielding individual during a fight over the “misuse” of the man’s vehicle Sunday night, detectives launched an investigation that led to the arrest of the suspect, police said.

Taken into custody around 9 a.m. Monday was Richard Nduwayezu, 19, of 12 Martin St., Apt. A, who was charged with one count each of criminal threatening, a Class B felony, and unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor, police said.

Nduwayezu was booked on the charges, but then refused bail, resulting in his transport to Valley Street jail pending today’s scheduled arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

Police said officers were called to an unspecified Nashua residence around 10:30 Sunday night for a report of people fighting.

There, they located an unidentified man who told them about being threatened with a knife during the fight, police said.

Detectives furthering the investigation identified Nduwayezu as their suspect, issued a warrant for his arrest, and come Monday morning, took him into custody.

Police ask anyone who may have additional information regarding the incident to contact the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
