NASHUA – The YMCA of Greater Nashua has announced that Anne M. Cushing of Amherst and Susan B. Whittemore of Pepperell have joined the Y’s Board of Directors. Cushing is founding member of Kindred, a business strategy consulting firm, and Whittemore is vice president a Starburst Data, a private data technology company, located in Boston.

The role of YMCA policy volunteers is to provide leadership, guidance and financial support to the organization as it works to provide programs and services to youth and families of the Greater Nashua area. Board members work with staff to develop a long range strategic plan that guides the implementation of programs and initiatives that support the Y’s efforts to nurture the potential of youth, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and give back and support neighbors.

“I am excited that Anne and Susan, both active YMCA members, have joined our Board. Both new Board members bring diverse skills and experiences as they join our team of community leaders on our Board of Directors to aid us in our service to the Greater Nashua region,” said Michael LaChance, YMCA of Greater Nashua CEO.
