NASHUA – A convicted felon from Lowell, Massachusetts is free on $200 cash bail as he awaits his Superior Court arraignment on a felony charge accusing him of possessing a firearm.

Joshua Silva, 34, of 91 Weed St., was taken into custody over the weekend after a police officer, while working a detail at Boston Billard Club & Casino, was informed that a man, later identified as Silva, had a firearm in his possession.

As a convicted felon, Silva is prohibited from possessing firearms or any other deadly weapon, according to police.

Silva was booked and later released pending the arraignment, which police said has yet to be scheduled.
