Third suspect in child’s fentanyl-exposure death arraigned on four charges; ordered jailed pending April hearing
BRENTWOOD – Dana Dolan, the third of three suspects accused of causing the death of a 21-month-old girl by exposing her to a deadly amount of fentanyl last November in Londonderry, is back behind bars on preventive detention following Monday’s arraignment on four charges stemming from the incident.
Dolan, 25, of 4 Deer St. in Tilton, joins the two other suspects – Mark Geremia, 32, and Shawna Marie Cote, 29, the little girl’s parents – in Rockingham County jail as they await their next court appearances, which are dispositional conferences all scheduled for April 23 in Rockingham County Superior Court.
Dolan’s arrest last Friday at an apartment on Powder Hill Drive in the Coos County town of Lancaster brings to 23 the number of charges the three face altogether.
Dolan is charged with one count each of negligent homicide; reckless conduct with a deadly weapon; manslaughter – reckless; and falsifying physical evidence.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service and Londonderry police said in statements that when police and members of the Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force approached the Lancaster residence looking for Dolan, he allegedly ran out the back door in an attempt to flee, but he was quckly caught and taken into custody.
Geremia, whose last known address is 13 Cottage St. in Northfield, faces the most charges of the three, a total of 11 that include one count each of negligent homicide; reckless conduct with a deadly weapon; falsifying physical evidence; and conspiracy to commit falsifying physical evidence, all Class B felonies; three counts, possession of child sexual abuse images, Class A felonies; one count, manslaughter, a special felony; two counts, endangering the welfare of a child, and one count, receiving stolen property, Class A misdemeanors.
The charges against Cote, who lists addresses of 75 Franklin St. in Laconia and 29 Chestnut St. in Tilton, include one count, manslaughter, a special felony; one count each, negligent homicide, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, falsifying physical evidence, and conspiracy to commit falsifying physical evidence, Class B felonies; and two counts, endangering the welfare of a child; and one count, receiving stolen property, Class A misdemeanors.
