LONDONDERRY – “Tireless work” by members of a dozen law enforcement agencies ranging from Rockingham County and the Lakes Region to the state’s Great North Woods led to the arrest over the weekend of the third suspect in the fentanyl-exposure death of a 21-month-old girl.

Dana Dolan, 25, last known residence in Tilton, has joined Mark Geremia, 32, and Shawna Cote, 29, in the Rockingham County jail pending his arraignment, which officials said is scheduled for today in Rockingham County Superior Court.

A spokesman for the U.S. Marshal’s Service, which teamed up with Londonderry and other police agencies in the investigation that yielded the arrests of the three suspects, said the service “is extremely happy to announce the arrest of the third and final suspect” in the death of the toddler, who was Geremia and Cote’s younger daughter, according to court documents.

The older daughter, who is 5, was present when her sister, identified in court documents as A.G., was found unconscious and unresponsive in her father’s trash-strewn pickup truck the morning of Nov. 16, 2020, but while she suffered from alleged neglect-related illnesses, she apparently wasn’t harmed by the fentanyl that allegedly claimed her sister’s life.

As for Dolan, he is charged with one count each of negligent homicide, manslaughter – reckless, and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.

Meanwhile, Geremia, 23, whose last known address is 13 Cottage St. in Northfield, and Cote, 29, who lists addresses of 75 Franklin St. in Laconia and 29 Chestnut St. in Tilton, were taken into custody last week at a residence in Northfield.

They were ordered held on $10,000 cash bail pending their next court appearance, which is a dispositional conference scheduled for April 23.

According to the Marshal’s Service and Londonderry police, members of the service’s task force received information that put Dolan at an apartment on Powder Hill Drive in the southern Coos County town of Lancaster.

When they approached the building, Dolan allegedly ran out the back door and attempted to flee, but he was quickly caught and arrested on the warrant police had earlier issued.

Dolan was transferred to the custody of Londonderry police, where he was booked on the charges then transported to jail pending today’s arraignment.

The case, according to U.S. Marshal Nick Willard, “is one of those investigations that truly pulls on the heart-strings of everyone, as crimes against children do.

“The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and countless other agencies worked tirelessly to ensure that all three of these fugitives were arrested so they can be brought to justice,” Willard added.
