Suspicious vehicle check leads to arrest of woman on warrants, drug charges
Shauna Gionet, 28, most recent address 380 Mystic St., Manchester
LONDONDERRY – A 28-year-old woman with a history of arrests, mainly on drug-related allegations and driving violations, is now facing a series of charges tied to a citizen report of a suspicious vehicle in Londonderry.
Police said Shauna Gionet, whose most recent address is listed as 380 Mystic St., Manchester, was sitting in the driver’s seat of a Toyota Rav4 when officers, responding to a concerned resident’s report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of Yellowstone Drive near Teton Drive, arrived around 11:20 p.m.
Upon identifying Gionet, police said officers learned that Gionet had a suspended license and suspended registrations, along with three electronic bench warrants and an active arrest warrant out of Manchester.
Also, police said, the officers determined the Rav4 had been reported stolen out of Manchester on Jan. 17.
The officers took Gionet into custody, and during a subsequent search of her person, they located several packets of the controlled drug Suboxone, along with drug paraphernalia, police said.
The charges filed against Gionet by Londonderry police include one count each of receiving stolen property, a Class A felony; possession of a controlled drug, a Class B felony; and driving after suspension, a Class A misdemeanor.
She was booked on the charges and later released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail, then was turned over to Manchester authorities to face the warrant-related charges in that jurisdiction.
Among Gionet’s previous dealings with law enforcement personnel are two drug-related arrests in 2011 and 2013, for which she would receive suspended sentences in Hillsborough County Superior Court North.
And in February 2015, Manchester police charged Gionet on a probation violation – but only after police, firefighters and ambulance personnel revived her with Narcan after finding her unconscious and not breathing from a drug overdose on the floor of a Lake Avenue apartment.
