WASHINGTON – Protesters gathered outside the U.S. Capitol earlier today have stormed the building, triggering an armed standoff at the House doors and throwing the area into chaos.

Demonstrators got into the building and the doors to the House and Senate were being locked. A Trump supporter was pictured standing at the Senate dais.

Shots were reported fired inside the building, and at least one person was injured, according to reports.
