CONCORD – Dueling Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots are expected to climb to nearly $740 million combined for drawings tomorrow and Wednesday. The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting the Mega Millions jackpot will jump to $376 million for the drawing on Tuesday, December 29, while the New Hampshire Lottery is estimating Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot will increase to $363 million. The New Hampshire Lottery anticipates the Mega Millions one-time cash payout will increase to $287.4 million and the Powerball one-time cash payout will jump to $279.2 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“New Hampshire came close to taking the Mega Millions jackpot on Friday (12/25) with the $1 million winning ticket sold in North Stratford at the Northwoods Trading Post! That excitement continues to build with the dueling Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots, giving players the chance to win nearly $740 million combined,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Here’s hoping we have two big winners here in New Hampshire this week to cap off the year!”

Mega Millions drawing results from Friday, December 25, were: 17-23-36-69-70 MB-19 with a Megaplier of 2.

Powerball drawing results from Saturday, December 26, were: 10-24-27-35-53 PB-18 with a Power Play of 2.

The largest Powerball jackpot on record was $1.586 billion in January 2016, which remains the world record lottery jackpot. The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was a $1.537 billion jackpot in October 2018.

Both Powerball and Mega Millions have had 29 consecutive drawings without winners, as both games’ jackpots have been building since mid-September. The Mega Millions jackpot has been increasing since September 15, when a winning $119 million ticket was sold in Wisconsin, while the Powerball jackpot was last won on September 16, when a winning $94 million ticket was sold in New York.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM.

Powerball drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.
