Loud party complaint triggers brawl with Nashua police; eight arrested, one officer hospitalized

NASHUA – Police said officers were called to a Bowers Street residence in the early morning hours Tuesday after receiving a report of a loud party.

They said the officers warned the partiers to tone it down, then went on their way. But a second call drew them back to the residence, and they issued another warning to the men and women present.

Upon receiving a third call, however, police located the hostess of the party, identified her as 24-year-old Rashel Tyler, and informed her she was under arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Tyler, of 27½ Bowers St., the location of the party, turned out to be the first of eight arrests officers would make that morning.

Police said that while Tyler was being taken into custody, a number of other party-goers “became hostile towards officers,” and allegedly refused to stop their behavior despite repeated warnings.

The hostilities escalated when the officers attempted to arrest another party-goer, Robin Guzman-Encarnacion, 21, who allegedly assaulted the officers during the arrest process, with which “multiple people in the residence interfered,” police said.

Both Robin Guzman-Encarnacion and Rony Guzman-Encarnacion were charged with assaulting the officers, with Rony, 25, being charged with the most serious offenses, which include two felonies, police said.

Those charges stem from the alleged assault that landed one of the officers in the hospital with injuries that police described as serious, but not life-threatening. The officer was treated and later released from the hospital, police added.

As officers cleared the residence after arresting Robin and Rony Guzman-Encarnacion, they took several other people into custody on various misdemeanor charges that ranged from disorderly conduct to resisting arrest or detention.

Police ask that anyone with any additional information on the incident contact the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
