MERRIMACK – Police have filed three charges, two of them felonies, against the driver of the 2008 Corvette that crashed into a large stone wall on Naticook Road five months ago and left a passenger with serious injuries.

Danh Ho, 28, of 23 Ellie Drive, turned himself in to police this week, after becoming aware that police had issued a warrant for his arrest following what police called “a thorough investigation” into the July 24 crash by members of the department’s Accident Investigation Team.

Ho, who was apparently not injured in the crash, is charged with one count each of second-degree assault and reckless conduct, both Class B felonies, and one count of vehicular assault, a Class A misdemeanor.

Police said Ho was booked on the charges and later released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment, which police said will take place at Hillsborough County Superior Court South in Nashua on a date that has yet to be determined.

Ho’s passenger, a male whose name was not released by police, sustained serious injuries in the crash, which occurred around 8 p.m. in front of 150 Naticook Road, near the intersection of Lamson Drive.

Merrimack Fire Rescue personnel had to extricate the man from the Corvette, which left a trail of vehicle parts and debris following the impact.

The man was initially transported to Nashua’s St. Joseph Hospital, then transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, “due to the seriousness of his injuries,” police said.

The investigation showed that Ho was driving southeast on Naticook Road “at a high rate of speed” when he lost control, causing the car to leave the road and strike the stone wall.

According to archived police reports, a Danh Ho, age 19, of 23 Ellie Drive, was arrested in November 2011 on a charge of operating after suspension. The disposition of that case wasn’t immediately available.
