New theft-related charges filed against Nashua man arrested twice within two weeks

Justin Spencer, age 33, of Nashua, street address unknown

NASHUA – When Justin Spencer, a 33-year-old Nashua resident with a history of arrests mainly related to burglary and theft allegations, was arraigned on Dec. 3 on a felony charge of burglary, he was granted personal recognizance bail with certain conditions.

On Sunday, just 10 days after that court appearance, Spencer was under arrest again, this time for allegedly having in his possession several items that were stolen from a vehicle that police say was recently broken into in the downtown area.

Police charged Spencer with two counts of receiving stolen property, which were upgraded from misdemeanors to Class B felonies due to Spencer’s two previous convictions for theft-related offenses.

Police also charged him with one Class B felony count of forgery, which stems from a Nov. 6 incident unrelated to the current case, police said.

This time, the Superior Court judge who arraigned Spencer on Monday on the three new charges ordered him held on $10,000 cash only bail pending his next court appearance.

That appearance, according to Spencer’s file, is a dispositional conference currently scheduled for Feb. 2 in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

In the meantime, police ask that anyone who may have additional information on the incidents that led to Spencer’s arrests to call the department’s anonymous Crime Line at 589-1665.
