David Retter, 35, most recent address of 19 Flagg Road, Hollis

HOLLIS – Officers sent to a local residence Monday evening after a dispatcher traced the address through an open 911 line “quickly determined” that a physical confrontation had taken place, police said.

While they didn’t say who was at the address when the officers arrived, police said that they “gathered information from those involved,” indicating they spoke with one or more people at the residence.

Based on that information, police said officers arrested David Retter, 35, whose most recent address is 19 Flagg Road, and charged him with multiple offenses.

They include one count of second-degree assault, a Class B felony, along with one count each of simple assault, simple assault – domestic violence, and obstructing the report of a crime or injury – domestic violence, all Class A misdemeanors.

Police said Retter was transported to police headquarters, where he was booked on the charges and later released on $5,000 cash bail.

Retter will be arraigned at Hillsborough County Superior Court South in Nashua, the date of which remains pending, police added.
