Serious injuries reported in Hollis motorcycle crash

By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Reporter | Nov 6, 2020

HOLLIS – A collision between an Audi Q3 automobile and a motorcycle at the intersection of Depot Road and Merrill Lane around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday sent a Nashua man to a Boston hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The motorcyclist, Leo Cormier, 63, was initially taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, then later transferred to the Boston hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The driver of the car, Danielle Scott, 68, of Hollis, was uninjured, police said.

They said a preliminary investigation determined Scott was driving north on Depot Road, and upon reaching Merrill Lane attempted to turn left from Depot Road onto Merrill Lane.

At that point, police said, the Audi and the motorcycle Cormier was driving south on Depot Road collided at the intersection.

The crash remains under investigation, police said, but it doesn’t appear that speed or driver impairment were factors.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has additional information to contact Hollis police Officer Nicholas Collishaw at 465-7637.
