COVID cannot halt this year’s 50th June Caron Senior Outing
NASHUA – Try as it might, COVID-19 will not stop the 50th annual June Caron Senior Outing from taking place later this month.
While the pandemic did succeed in forcing organizers to make some adjustments, this year’s outing for local seniors age 60 and up, which has long borne the name of the Ward 7 alderman, state representative, retired longtime city parks and recreation director and senior citizens’ best friend, will take place in a drive-through format.
Instead of gathering for lunch, participants will order their meals in advance and pick them up at Stellos Stadium between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.
To pre-register and place an order, call 589-3370.
Luncheon “slots” are now available, and organizers remind participants that it’s one meal per person, and that spots are limited and not transferable.
Proof of residence may be required as well.
The lunches, which will be prepared by Fratello’s restaurant, include soup, bread, an entree and dessert.
