MERRIMACK – A Manchester man is free on bail awaiting a December arraignment on a charge of facilitating a drug or underage alcohol party, after police say the Halloween night party became loud enough that officers were called to the scene.

Joshua Alexander, 22, of 475 Amory St., Manchester, is accused of renting a room at the Residences at Daniel Webster for the party, where police say responding officers “found several partygoers in attendance who were under age 21.”

They also “observed open alcohol containers in the room,” police said.

After a brief investigation, the officers determined that Alexander had rented the room to allegedly host the party, and they took him into custody without incident.

He was booked on the Class A misdemeanor charge and later released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment, which police said is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 7 in Merrimack district court.
