NASHUA – On National First Responders Day, Congresswoman Annie Kuster met with the Nashua Fire Department to discuss their work during the COVID-19 pandemic and the resources they need to continue serving the community. Kuster has been a strong advocate for first responders and firefighters in Congress. She helped to deliver millions in funding for Granite State Fire Departments through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program and the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant (SAFER) to support front line firefighters and ensure they have the resources they need. Kuster was endorsed for re-election by the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire (PFFNH) this year.

“Today and every day, we thank our Granite State firefighters and first responders for their tireless dedication to our communities,” said Annie Kuster. “We know that this pandemic has put additional strains on our first responders, and it is so important that we support them in their continued efforts to protect our communities. That’s why I am a proud advocate for our first responders in Congress and will always work to ensure those on the front lines have the support and the resources they need to do their jobs and keep their families safe.
