Brayan Del Rio Castillo, 21, of Lowell, Massachusetts
NASHUA – When police officers responded to a call for a disorderly motorcycle from a woman at the Bronstein apartment complex last week, they soon located the operator and went to speak with him.
But shortly after they identified him as Brayan Del Rio Castillo, 21, several of Castillo’s friends showed up and allegedly began “yelling and swearing” at a group of Bronstein residents and calling one or more of them “a rat” for calling police on Castillo.
Castillo’s address is listed as 12 Lake St., Nashua, in some reports, and as 588 Bridge St., Lowell, Massachusetts, in others.
The back and forth escalated, according to police, prompting the officers speaking with Castillo to radio for backup units “due to the large crowd now gathering” on the Central Street side of the complex.
Police said officers, after getting the OK from a representative of the Nashua Housing Authority, which operates the Bronstein complex, attempted to thin out the crowd by “identifying all people present and issuing trespass orders” to those who do not reside at Bronstein, according to police reports.

Carlos Cabrera Rodriguez, 19, of 525 Amherst St., Apt. E-26, Nashua
Police said two men, later identified as Erick Duran Rodriguez, 21, and Carlos Cabrera Rodriguez, 19, were allegedly “immediately hostile and non-compliant.”
As an officer attempted to arrest Cabrera Rodriguez, he allegedly pulled away, pushed the officer’s hands away and “positioned his body in a fighting stance,” police said.
Duran Rodriguez, according to police, came out of the crowd and allegedly struck the officer three times in the head, prompting additional officers to “engage” him, taking him to the ground and subduing him with pepper spray.
Among those officers was a sergeant, who reported that a woman in the crowd “punched him in the left side of his head,” and when he tried to place her under arrest, she allegedly took another swing, this time hitting him in the shoulder and chin, police said.
The woman, eventually identified as Alba Rodriguez De Genao, 39, reportedly told police she allegedly “began to swing” her hands to try to get to her son.

Meanwhile, as at least two of the suspects allegedly continued to mix it up with police, the crowd “continued to encroach on the officers,” drawing another wave of backup officers to push back, and eventually disperse, the crowd.
Once the dust cleared, the officer struck in the head at least three times was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, which, police said in reports, included a large contusion to his forehead and a bruised eye. Ultimately, police said, he was diagnosed with a concussion.
While the officer was being treated at the hospital, the four suspects – Duran Rodriguez, Cabrera Rodriguez, and Rodriguez De Genao, who all live at 525 Amherst St., Apt. E26, and Del Rio Castillo – were on their way to police headquarters for booking on their respective charges.
Cabrera Rodriguez is charged with one count of riot, a Class B felony; and three counts each of simple assault and resisting arrest or detention, and one count of disorderly conduct, all Class A misdemeanors.
Duran Rodriguez is charged with one count of riot; four counts of simple assault; and one count of resisting arrest or detention.
