NFR’s newest deputy chief sworn in Sunday

Recently Assistant Chief George Walker retired, and Assistant Chief Steve Buxton was sworn in to fill the position. NASHUA – Veteran Nashua firefighter Capt. James Kirk became Nashua Fire Rescue’s newest deputy chief on Sunday.

NFR Chief Brian Rhodes administered the oath of office to Kirk, while his wife, Marie, pinned her husband’s new deputy chief badge to his uniform to make his promotion official.

Kirk, whose radio designation will be C-4, will fill the deputy chief position that became vacant upon the recent promotion of former Deputy Chief Steve Buxton to assistant chief.
