Jocelyn Monnie, 41, of Merrimack

MERRIMACK – Police charged 41-year-old Jocelyn Monnie with misdemeanor domestic violence and criminal threatening offenses over the weekend, after she allegedly punched another person in the chest and threatened to stab him or her, police said.

The alleged attack occurred in a car while the two were in the drive-through lane of a nearby restaurant. Police said a verbal argument became physical.

Police met the alleged victim at a local hotel parking lot, and were told that Monnie had walked away before they arrived.

They were able to catch up with Monnie a short distance away, police said, and after a brief investigation, they took her into custody on the two charges.

Monnie was booked at police headquarters then later released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for Oct. 19 in Merrimack district court.
