Daronte Branch, 22, of no fixed address, Nashua

NASHUA – Nearly three months after detectives with the police department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division launched an investigation into Daronte Branch, the 24-year-old local resident has been taken into custody on charges ranging from drug offenses to domestic stalking, police said.

Branch, who lists no fixed address, was arraigned on the charges late last week. He was initially held after his arrest, but his current bail status wasn’t immediately known.

The charges include one count each of sale of a controlled drug – heroin/fentanyl, subsequent offense, and possession of a controlled drug – heroin/fentanyl, subsequent offense, both special felonies; and one count each of breach of bail and stalking – domestic violence, Class A misdemeanors.

Branch was also charged with allegedly failing to appear in court in connection with an unrelated case, police said.

During the drug investigation, police said, detectives were told by a female known to Branch that he had been in contact with her, in violation of a court order prohibiting such contact.

According to police and news archives, Branch was among 29 suspects Nashua police arrested in February 2018 as part of a massive, statewide Operation Granite Shield sweep that netted 151 arrests across the state.
