Nashua Motor Vehicle Dept. appointment scheduling system now online
NASHUA – City Motor Vehicle Department officials are reminding residents who need to conduct business with the department to utilize its newly instituted online system to make an appointment.
To access the new system and schedule an appointment, go to https://book.appointment-plus.com/cx7rvmqy.
Residents can also login to the system through the City of Nashua website, www.nashuanh.gov. Click on the “vehicle registration” button.
Residents without Internet access can schedule an appointment by calling 589-3200, and selecting “option 1.”
The new system eliminates the need for residents to come to City Hall to get a ticket for an appointment.
Appointments can be scheduled for up to three weeks in advance.
Appointment times begin at 8:15 a.m., with the last appointments taken at 3:30 p.m.
A limited number of appointments are available for each time slot to maintain a safe number of residents entering City Hall, officials said.
Upon arrival for their scheduled appointment, residents will enter City Hall through the Elm Street entrance, and are asked to arrive on time and enter in orderly fashion.
A greeter will be present to verify each appointment.
Residents are reminded that face masks and social distancing are required inside City Hall.
Transactions will be conducted in the auditorium, on the third floor of City Hall. Motor vehicle clerks were relocated to the auditorium, which is considerably larger than the regular office.
Officials said they decided to institute this “limited opening” of the Motor Vehicle Department “to safely allow the efficient face-to-face processing of new registrations and transfers,” as well as other transactions that cannot be processed online or through the U.S. mail.
Transactions that can be conducted through the temporary, face-to-face service include:
* Registration and title transfers of newly-purchased vehicles
* New residents who have moved to Nashua from another state
* New residents who have moved to Nashua from another town or city in New Hampshire.
All other motor vehicle registrations, including renewals, are being processed online or via U.S. mail. Residents can also put their paperwork into the drop-box slot, which is located near the Elm Street entrance to City Hall.
Residents must put their name and phone number on the envelope.
