On September 5, 2020, at approximately 12:45 a.m., an officer with the Merrimack Police Department stopped a motor vehicle for a minor moving violation. The officer identified the driver as Jennifer Zimmer.

While speaking with Zimmer, the officer noticed possible signs of impairment due to the consumption of alcohol. After a brief investigation, which included standardized field sobriety tests, Zimmer was taken into custody for OUIL.

Zimmer was then brought back to the station for processing. After being processed, Zimmer was released on personal recognizance bail. She was given a court date of October 5, 2020, in the Merrimack District Court to answer to the charges of OUIL and OUIL Per Se.
