HUDSON – Fire officials are asking anyone with any information, including photos or video footage, of the fire that heavily damaged a Cedar Street home last week to contact Deputy Fire Chief James Paquette.

He can be reached at 816-3249 or jpaquette@hudsonnh.gov.

Flames were pouring from the rear of the ranch-style residence, while heavy, black smoke was coming from the roof and eaves when firefighters first arrived at 5 Cedar St. shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday, Paquette said.

Nobody was injured, and crews were able to rescue a dog and a cat, which were taken to a local veterinarian for evaluation. Paquette said the home is occupied by Tammy Brown.

Thirty-one firefighters and officers and 14 units, including six engines and a ladder truck, responded to the blaze, which reached two alarms.

Crews from Nashua, Pelham, Windham and Londonderry assisted Hudson firefighters, while an AMR ambulance from Nashua stood by and the Salvation Army of Nashua provided rehab assistance to first responders.

Paquette said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. He said the home sustained significant structural damage to the interior, the roof and a rear deck area.
