Chane Fisher, age 45, No Fixed Address, Nashua

NASHUA – Within two weeks of getting word that local resident Chane Fisher, a Tier II sex offender, allegedly failed to update his information on the state’s sex-offender registry, police detectives located him and took him into custody on three related charges.

Upon his arrest, detectives also charged Fisher with four counts of domestic violence – simple assault, Class A misdemeanors that they said stem from a report they received back on May 1 from a woman who accused Fisher of physically assaulting her.

As for the charges related to Fisher’s alleged failure to register and update his status, he faces two counts of duty to inform for allegedly failing to notify Nashua police that his legal address and his cell phone number had both changed, and one count of duty to report, which accuses him of failing to register with the registry, which he is required to do on a semi-annual basis, police said.

The three charges are Class B felonies.

Police said Fisher was booked on the charges and later released on personal recognizance bail. The date of his arraignment, which will take place in Hillsborough County Superior Court South, has yet to be scheduled.

Police ask that anyone with any additional information on the case to call the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
