NASHUA – An as-yet unidentified motorcyclist suffered what are believed to be serious injuries when the late-model, fully-dressed Harley Davidson he was operating collided with a car on Amherst Street Wednesday evening.
The man, believed to be around 50 years old, was reportedly unconscious and lying in the road when police, firefighters and ambulance personnel arrived at the scene, which occurred at the intersection of Amherst and Sunapee streets.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, according to reports. Medical personnel requested activation of the trauma team at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where they transported the man after administering first aid on the scene.
He had reportedly regained consciousness by the time he was in the ambulance.
The car, meanwhile, appeared to be traveling west on Amherst Street at the time of the collision. The unidentified driver remained on the scene. The car showed heavy front-end damage.
