MERRIMACK – A young woman who police indicate was determined to continue causing a disturbance at a local gas station, rather than take police up on their suggestion that she leave, was eventually taken into custody on a pair of misdemeanor offenses.

Shannae Jackson, 22, of 2 Executive Park Drive, which is the Woodspring Suites hotel, was among a number of suspects Merrimack police arrested this week on various charges stemming from unrelated incidents.

Jackson was charged with one count each of criminal trespass and resisting arrest, police said. She was booked on the charges and later released on personal recognizance bail pending a June 15 appearance in Merrimack district court.

Officers who responded to the call, which came in as a report of a female causing a disturbance with employees and customers, police said, learned that Jackson “had been at the gas station, in a disabled vehicle, for several hours.”

While there, she was allegedly causing a disturbance, and was asked to leave, police said. Officers gave Jackson a formal trespass order, meaning she had to leave the property and stay away, or be subject to arrest.

James Cooper, 45, of 302 Pine St., Apt. A, Nashua, faces several charges in connection with a Wednesday incident, which police said involved a disturbance at a local residence. Police said officers who responded to the call at the undisclosed address around 6 p.m. learned that Cooper, who had left by the time police arrived, allegedly sent threatening text messages to another person, who was not identified.

Cooperthen showed up at the person’s residence and “began acting in a disorderly and threatening manner.” He also allegedly damaged the person’s property.

Witnesses police spoke with reported seeing Cooper “driving in a reckless manner through the neighborhood during the incident.” Police said officers located “several skid marks” in the person’s driveway and in the road, which they described as “consistent with reckless driving.”

Police said witnesses also provided the officers with a description of the vehicle involved. They identified the driver as Cooper, and took him into custody.

The charges they filed include one count each of domestic violence – stalking, criminal threatening, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and reckless driving. Cooper was booked on the charges and later released on personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to appear in Merrimack district court on June 16, police said.

Tyler Valois, 25, whose address wasn’t provided, faces one count of violation of a protective order, a misdemeanor-level offense accusing him of contacting via text message a person he is prohibited from having any contact with. Police didn’t specify the nature of the message, but said their investigation confirmed that Valois allegedly sent it to the person.

He agreed to turn himself in to police, and was booked on the single charge, police said.
